When we bought our first house in Raleigh, my wife and I didn't know what we were getting into.  Luckily, when things started breaking, Bill at 2nd Gen was there to help. Bill replaced many of the old bathroom water valves and fixed the leaky toilets.  When we discovered our water heater was shot, Bill put in a brand new tankless gas heater,  pulling the right permits and talking us through proper maintenance and what to expect. He even installed a new sink for our wet bar in our bonus room and damn does it look good. And, better yet, it works!

Bill's not the guy to see a potential issue and ignore it to just take care of the problem you called him for.  He'll shoot straight about issues he sees as he's working so you can learn about your house and what might occur down the road.  I find that invaluable to being prepared for the next repair becuase, let's be real, there's always a next repair, especially with a 50 year old house like ours. I appreciate Bill's willingness to talk through options and keep costs fair.  He works efficiently so your family is up and running as soon as possible. 

As I've gotten to know Bill, I've learned his background growing up with a plumber for a dad, learning the ins and outs in all weather extremes and situations. He brings those lessons to work every day and continually tells me he hates when people do things the wrong way in homes and businesses because he knows how it affects his family when things don't work when you need them. Anyone who uses 2nd Gen should feel confident Bill is going to take care of them, he's fully licensed, has the experience, and has the work ethic to keep your home, business, and family moving and growing. Billy from 2nd Generation Plumbing is an exceptional plumber! It’s very important to have someone you trust when you have a home issue, and Billy prides himself on being trustworthy and honest. We first used Billy for a leak in our shower that was coming down through the 1st floor ceiling. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem. While he was here, he also found a few other potential issues and took photos to show us. These were things we might not have ever noticed and weren’t caught in the home inspection when we moved in a year ago, but could have caused major damage if he hadn’t found them; such as our main water line was bent in one spot. He didn’t push anything on us and actually recommended we don’t fix one of the issues yet, but just let us know so we can monitor it if it gets worse. He is timely and a great communicator. He explains things in a way that makes sense. I highly recommend him for any and all plumbing needs!
